3X Frequency Multiplier, 9~18GHz, 15dBm

3X Frequency Multiplier, 9~18GHz, 15dBm

A frequency multiplier is a key module in microwave systems for frequency conversion. It uses nonlinear devices to precisely increase the input signal frequency to an integer multiple. This product is a 3X frequency multiplier with a fixed multiplication ratio of three. On the basis of maintaining input signal phase and amplitude stability, it efficiently generates the third harmonic component and effectively suppresses the fundamental wave and other spurs. It is widely used in frequency source extension, radar excitation chains, communication systems, and other scenarios.

Features:

High multiplication efficiency: Designed with GaAs or GaN nonlinear circuits, the 3X frequency multiplier achieves high conversion efficiency within the specified input power range, significantly reducing the driver stage requirement.
Strong harmonic suppression: Integrated input matching and output bandpass filtering structure provide high suppression of the fundamental, second harmonic, and higher-order spurs, retaining only the third harmonic as the effective output.
Wide operating temperature range: Stable performance from -45℃ to +85℃, suitable for outdoor and military temperature grade equipment.
Compact package: Standard surface-mount or microstrip module package with detachable SMA interface facilitates system integration.

Applications:

Radar frequency source chain: Triples the output frequency of a low‑phase‑noise VCO or DRO to X‑band or Ku‑band for use as a radar local oscillator or transmit exciter.
Microwave communication local oscillator: Generates the third harmonic LO signal in point‑to‑point microwave transceivers to support up/down conversion with mixers.
Test and measurement instruments: Provides an extended‑band reference source for spectrum analyzers and signal generators, or drives harmonic mixers.
Satellite and avionics electronics: Delivers a compact multiplication solution in size‑ and power‑constrained spaceborne or airborne modules, replacing higher‑frequency direct oscillators.
