A 2 way power divider is a fundamental and essential passive microwave device. Its primary function is to evenly (ideally) divide an input signal into two output signals with consistent phase and equal amplitude, effectively "splitting the power in half." Conversely, when the signal flow is reversed, it can also serve as a combiner, merging two signals into one.
